Writers Block but Poem Flourish?

Hey, so haven't had much progress in the story, I just seem to have writer's block I guess I'm stuck where I'm at in the story like a scared animal in a corner... So I found a poem I wrote for a friend a couple months ago. She liked it (whether she was lying to spare my feelings eh..), if you look at the first letter of every stanza it spells her name, so I thought that was kind of cool! I think that's called an acrostic, don't quote me on that though..

Meeting such a pure face,
Innocence abound with
A laugh that makes even angels
Cry with its unimaginable beauty.

Even with a,
Heart so warm and,
So full of life.
The splendor of her
Passion speaks to
Those long lost.

Gripping onto the,
Fringes of society she
Paves her own route
Blazing a trail that makes everyone
Watch and stare.

And eyes that,
Brim with love,
Hiding also the secret pain of,
Mistrust.

Not listening to the,
Voices of the crowd,
She changes the world each
Day, and speaks
A truth that strikes every heart.
Crafted by the divine, she embodies
Near perfection.
