Finale

So here we stand, a crossroads been reached
Our heads turned from side to side THE
Road less traveled is what's been preached.

This last adventure, this final goodbye
This never ending story, is where we END;
Showing what was left of you and I.

You'll go your way and I shall go mine,
But never looking back to see you IS
What will be the hardest to resign.

Our paths will part, but only for awhile
We will meet once again WHERE
The sun shines bright, and I can see your smile.

Though for now, you take your route
And I'll take mine and maybe WE
Will do just fine even though without.

Now we start our journey, keeping straight ahead
Our hearts filled with turmoil; though we BEGIN
To realize that though apart, our love is not dead.

The Hallway

No ones there to hear you scream,
And you gasp for air but cannot breathe;
These silent tears slide down your cheek,
While your broken heart is left to weep.

You smile through it all, a mask that hides,
A broken interior that wanted and cried.
Everyone thinks you're okay, but really you're dying
Simply forsaken and forgotten, but at least you're still smiling.

No one knows who you are, you just can't let them win,
So you shut yourself off, and wall yourself in.
What they want from you is to disappear,
The one request you just don't want to hear.

They act as if you're not here; that they can't see you, invisible.
So your silent screams fall on deaf ears; your pleading inadmissible.
They leave you breathless, but you know they'll never be yours
Because you're standing in a hallway with over a thousand doors.

Opened one by one, all of the doors stand empty
Your heart is shriveled, your mind cries out angry.
But then you realize, an ageless sad in your mind eye,
That no matter how hard you sought, they were never yours to find.
